Backstreet (Triggerbot):

Profile, Abilities and Weaknesses description taken from The Transformers: More Than Meets The Eye, comic series published by Dreamwave Comics in 2003.

Bio: Backstreet's leery nature lends itself to his job; he's constantly suspicious of what he sees coming over the horizon, ready to sound an alarm to warn of danger. His commanders didn't realize that being a lookout would eventually wear down Backstreet's ability to think rationally. Backstreet's so afraid of not recognizing danger that he often sees it where it doesn't exist, leading him to jump to the wrong conclusion on a regular basis. He's so high-strung that the mere sound of footfalls can send him transforming into vehicle mode racing around to warn his comrades of imminent attack before realizing it was just his replacement coming to relieve him at the end of his shift.

Weapons/Abilities: In vehicle mode, Backstreet can use his launchers as either an offensive weaponi, firing independently targeted laser-guided proton missiles or a propulsion unit. Using them as booster rockets can achieve speeds of 400 mph for up to 60 seconds at a time. Headlights emit high-powered heat rays that can melt metal into slag. In robot mode, also uses proton missile launchers

Weaknesses: Often jumps between modes so fast that he damags himself.

Bibliography of significant appearances: Backstreet and the Triggerbots make several appearances in the G1 Transformers comic series published by Marvel comics in the late 1980's.
