Unicron.com Accessory Set #1:

The first of its kind, "third party" designed and manufactured (by us! in this case) to appeal to Transformers collectors, we released our first ever Unicron.com Accessory Pack (#1) in July, 2000. It included items to compliment figures of the Beast Machines series which was going strong at that time.  Each pack included:

Figure stand for deluxe (/basic) Thrust figure:  (link is to the original promo page, published in July 2000)  The first  of 6 'accessories' revealed is a stand for Beast Machines Thrust!  Designed to allow the figure stand on his wheel like the show. Originally intended for the deluxe version of the toy, it also functions with the basic Thrust (Motorcycle Drone) figure too.  The base silhouette was designed round (wheel shaped) and can accommodate Thrust in a wide variety of poses.  It's made of high quality crystal- clear, durable polycarbonate (the same stuff that very high end sun glasses are made of.)  Initially concerned that the posts might be fragile, we now know that they're practically indestructible!  We're quite proud of how this turned out.  It's durable, functional and practically invisible, exactly as we intended!

Figure stand for Blackarachnia:  Reformatted or not, Blackarachnia doesn't look right needing a size 38 shoe!  Our 2nd part we revealed, is for one of our favorite figures, Blackarachnia.  The base is shaped like a black widow spider hour-glass symbol and is manufactured of high-quality crystal clear polycarbonate, functional & will accomodate Blackarachnia in all sorts of great poses.  Just place one of her pointy toes in the rectangular protrusions on the front of the stand & she'll stand on one leg or two!

KEY TO VECTOR SIGMA:  The next item included in each Unicron.com Accessory Pack is the Key To Vector Sigma!  Notice how we designed it to look more like it did in the original G1 cartoons rather than the Beast Machines shows, something we hope G1 fans appreciate.  It's scaled so it can be held by Thrust, Tankor... our favorite feature of this part is that it's "vacuum metalized" w/ a similar look to the Transmetal seen in Beast Wars.  In fact, every key has been "sputtered" in actual chrome (not aluminum like most toys) & given a yellow clear coat.  We chose chrome, because unlike aluminum it's a much darker and splotchy metal look adding to the ancient aura of this Autobot Artifact.

2 swords and a mount bracket for Cheetor:  The third (fourth and fifth) parts in each pack are two scimitar swords and a mount bracket for Mega Cheetor.  The post on the bracket inserts into his um, er, screw hole lower back.  And the holes in the part are to accommodate the posts on the sword handles.  We individually hand painted each and every sword using super durable, scratch resistant paints.  YES, the swords can hook together to form the wing glider and YES, the swords can hook together to form the boomerang.  To accomplish this, we designed the bumpy green sword handle with a post and a cylindrical hole of the same diameter so the swords can join however you want them to! In addition, these posts on each sword handle are the same diameter as the post on the toy's tail/"sword" so they insert and fit nicely into the hand of the bot.

The only "catch" if you want to call it that, is that these swords are very sharp, hard and pointy!  Therefore, we labeled the packaging "FOR COLLECTORS, 18 AND OVER"  We also state these parts were "...not designed with child safety standards in mind so they may be hazardous to children."   But they look great and frankly we love the fact that they're unlike anything made by a "big toy companies" concerned w/ child safety standards!

Please note that these swords are designed to with cylindrical posts on each handle.  The posts are designed to fit into the holes in Cheetor's hand.  The first mega Cheetor toy I bought came with hands that each had holes in them for the tail/"sword" to fit into.  We've come to understand that most Mega Cheetor toys now include two different hands.  One has the hole the other hand does not.  In this situation, there are several options to make the sword 'stick' in both of Cheetor's hands.
1.) Using a power drill and a correctly sized bit, (& w/ parental supervision, if necessary!) drill yourself a very small (correctly sized) hole in the other hand to accommodate the sword post.  Try drilling the hole into a piece of scrap wood to make first to make sure the hole is the correct size.
2.) buy a second Mega Cheetor, and swap the holed hand with the non-holed hand.  The parts pop on and off quite easily and you'll end one Cheetor w/ two 'holey' hands.
3.) Without using the post on the sword handle, and using a lot of care, you can balance the sword inside the fingers of cheetor's non-hole hand.  It's finicky, but it will stay if you work at it.
